  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice Adds tangy flavor to the sauce.
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder Optional for the sauce.
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika For added flavor in the sauce.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine 1 ½ teaspoons of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper to create the spice mix. Set aside.
  • Wash and cut 2-3 medium potatoes into chips and pat them dry to prevent sogginess.
  • In a large bowl, toss the chips with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half of the spice mix until well coated.

Cooking

  • Spread the seasoned chips evenly on a baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 30-40 minutes or air fry for roughly 20 minutes until they are crisp and golden.
  • While the potatoes are baking, heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan over high heat. Add the beef mince and cook, breaking it apart gently. Once browned, sprinkle in the remaining spice mix and cook until any moisture has evaporated.

Making Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of ketchup, 1 teaspoon of mustard, 1 teaspoon of pickle juice, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika. Adjust seasoning as desired.

Assembly

  • Once everything is cooked, grab your bowls, fill them with crispy potato chips, and layer with shredded lettuce, cooked beef mince, cheese, and pickle slices. Drizzle the burger sauce on top and serve warm.

Notes

For variety, try using different cheeses or proteins. You can also add toppings like avocado or sautéed mushrooms to personalize your bowl.
