  • 1 package (13-ounce) golden Oreos Not double-stuffed, approximately 36 cookies
  • 1 package (8-ounce) cream cheese Provides creamy richness
  • 3 cups light green candy melts Can use any color if green is unavailable
  • Large sprinkles red heart sprinkles For decorative topping
  • a few drops red food coloring For color in the filling

Preparation

  • Place the golden Oreos in a large food processor and pulse until they resemble fine crumbs.
  • Add in the cream cheese and blend until fully combined, achieving a smooth texture.
  • Mix in about ½ teaspoon of red food coloring, blending until the desired color is achieved.
  • Use a medium cookie scoop to form 1 ½-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Coating

  • Melt the light green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments until smooth.
  • Dip each chilled ball into the melted candy melts, tapping off any excess before placing them back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  • While the coating is still wet, add a large red heart sprinkle on top of each ball.
  • Chill the coated balls in the refrigerator for another hour before serving.

Notes

Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to a month. Thaw in the fridge.
