Ingredients
  

For the Wings

  • 4 pounds chicken wings, patted dry
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder, aluminum-free This is the secret ingredient for crispiness.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can be substituted.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential for enhancing flavors.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Freshly cracked adds a nice touch.

For the Sauce

  • honey chipotle sauce Use pre-made or homemade with honey, chipotle pepper, and lime juice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  • In a large ziplock bag, add the chicken wings and sprinkle with baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Seal and shake until each wing is coated.
  • Spread the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.

Cooking

  • Bake the wings for 45 to 50 minutes until they are crispy and golden.
  • While the wings are baking, prepare the honey chipotle sauce by combining honey, adobo sauce, and lime juice.
  • Once the wings are done, remove from the oven and toss them in the honey chipotle sauce until coated.
  • Return the wings to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to set the glaze.

Serving

  • Serve the wings hot, with celery sticks, ranch or blue cheese dressing, and lime wedges.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For reheating, use the oven for crispiness or the microwave for quick warmth.
