For the pizza

  • 1 piece Pizza Dough Homemade or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup Marinara Sauce Good quality, preferably homemade
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Use generously for a gooey texture
  • 20 slices Salami Thinly sliced for best results
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Italian Seasoning Adds aromatic flavor
  • to taste Grated Parmesan Cheese For garnish
  • to taste Fresh Parsley For garnish
  • for dusting Cornmeal Prevents sticking and adds crunch

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle.
  • Lightly sprinkle cornmeal onto the pizza pan and lay your rolled-out dough over it.
  • Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
  • Add the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, followed by the slices of salami.
  • Sprinkle the Italian seasoning evenly over the toppings.

Cooking

  • Bake for 12-14 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly with a hint of golden brown edges.
  • When it's done, garnish with grated Parmesan and fresh parsley before slicing.

Notes

Allow the pizza to sit for a couple of minutes before cutting into it for cleaner slices. Enjoy with a simple salad and a glass of red wine.
